Golden Corral doesn't even have a good salad bar as part of their buffet. Their side dishes are bland and just terrible and generally the meat offerings are overcooked and cheap cuts that aren't very good. I have ate at a couple and both are probably the worst AYCE buffets I have ate at.

I dig pals havn't ate at the new one though, I heard they was backed up to the red light... I think I can wait another month for pals.
The reaction isn't solely because of the Pal's itself. It's because we finally got one closer to home.
And that makes the reaction sad because we so rarely get anything even remotely decent around here.
Companies see us as backward hillbillies still living in shacks in the hills and not at all profitable enough to put anything in here. Hell, look how long it took this area to get high speed internet.
If anything the long lines represent just how neglected our area is. Because if this were a "more important region" that got newer stores, restaurants, etc. more often then the reaction wouldn't be so bad.
Don't blame the people. Blame those with the power to change these things and choosing not to.

yeah, this area is not packed with fatties who love fast food:/ (including me, not on my high horse)
although I have not ate at pals yet. got a drink yesterday but no food yet.
ill eventually relent and go, but i cant believe the hubub over a fast food place.
more greasy, terribly unhealthty cheeseburgers! yay!
it's a shame.. I've got a friend who works there, and says they already have a few every day customers, and she noted one, that she sees every single day... that's sad.
